Pectus Implant following a previous unsuccessful modified Ravitch using a non-bar ‘sling’ technique [Pectus Excavatum]
February 2018
Imaging prior to implant demonstrating residual pectus excavatum (Chest CT top right) & reconstructions of chest with the mesh used to ‘hold’ sternum forward highlighted in green. The technique avoids the need for a further surgery to remove a metal bar but may lead to residual or recurrence pectus excavatum
Pre-operative photo showing result following a the Modified Ravitch repair performed locally
